Sukabumi, September 6, 2026 — Bank Sampah Unit (BSU) Mandiri has officially entered into a cooperation agreement with SPPG Cisarua 2 through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the management of waste generated from SPPG operations.
Under this cooperation, BSU Mandiri will be responsible for the collection and management of both organic and inorganic waste generated by SPPG Cisarua 2.
This partnership represents an important step in BSU Mandiri's development of a more comprehensive waste management service—one that goes beyond waste collection to include sorting, processing, data recording, and impact measurement.
Turning Waste into Data and Impact
For BSU Mandiri, collecting waste is not the end of the process.
Every material collected will become part of a waste management record, allowing BSU Mandiri to track how much waste has been managed and how the materials are subsequently processed, recovered, or utilized.
Organic waste will be directed toward appropriate organic waste treatment processes.
Meanwhile, recyclable inorganic materials will be sorted and directed to appropriate recycling or recovery channels.
Through this approach, BSU Mandiri aims to build a more measurable and traceable waste management system.
Monthly Impact Reporting
An important component of this partnership is the planned monthly waste impact reporting.
The reports may include:
- Total waste collected
- Organic and inorganic waste volumes
- Materials successfully sorted
- Materials sent for recycling or further processing
- Waste diverted from final disposal
- Other relevant environmental impact indicators
This means that waste management will not end with collection.
Every kilogram of waste managed can become part of measurable and traceable impact data.
